My Story
Basketball has shaped my life since the age of 6. Its competitive nature, the work ethic it fosters, and its essence of teamwork have all instilled countless qualities that I make use of today, on and off the court. So, my journey began with a simple belief, that every young person, regardless of their background, deserves a chance to dream, to grow, and to find their path to success through this sport.
In India, basketball often takes a backseat to more mainstream sports. Rural areas, in particular, are left unexplored, devoid of the immense benefits and life skills that basketball offers. My commitment was clear - to bring the game to the underserved communities of my native state, Tamilnadu, to offer opportunities for personal growth and empowerment that extend far beyond the court. That's when my idea of Acham Thavir sparked

My mission is simple, to foster the growth of basketball in Tamilnadu.
I aim to use Acham Thavir as a platform to ensure every aspiring player in the state has optimal access to the sport, and they begin to use basketball not just as a source of exercise, but as a fuel for their enthusiasm and character development.
Committed to providing equal opportunities for boys and girls, Acham Thavir emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and fosters an environment where every child feels valued, pushing them to be at their best.
My Vision
In my envisioned future, basketball becomes a transformative force, offering equal opportunities for children from all walks of life.
Not just in Tamilnadu, but all over India, basketball is inclusive, valuing talent and determination over differences in upbringings.
While basketball was once just a sport for some, and a hobby for others, basketball becomes a universal language, and children communicate, learn, and form lasting bonds through this beautiful sport.
